The Annual Inter-House Sports meet of Wadduwa Balika Vidyalaya, Kalutara, was held on January 30 with the participation of Kalutara Zonal Education Director Mrs. O. MV Priyani Mudalige, Panadura Divisional Director of Education M. N. H. T. P. De Silva, Kalutara Asst. Director of Education (Sports) Mrs. Dimuthu Lokuge and Panadura Senior ISA (Sports) Kanthasiri Meegamuwage and the school principal Mrs. S. D. P. J. Abeysena at the Wadduwa Public playground.
The overall sports championship was won by Manel House with 247 points and the Runner-up cup was won by Nelum House with 217 points. The third place was won by Olu House with 152 points. Four best Athletes were honoured and felicitated by the chief guest Mrs. Priyani Mudalige and the Panadura Divisional Director of Education Thilak de Silva at the Awards Ceremony.
Nithini Haseni (U. 12) and Chatupama Nethmi Oshadi (U. 14), of Nelum House, and Kushni Olivia, Gimhani (U. 16) and L. Hasini Kaushalya (U. 18) of Manel House were honoured and won cups as the most outstanding athletes of the year 2019.
